Thai Official’s Joint Operation at Thai-Cambodia Border.

On January 25, 2017, Chong Chom Wildlife Checkpoint (Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation: DNP) , Surin Fish Inspection Office (Department of Fisheries), Huai Thap Than-Huai Samran Wildlife Sanctuary (DNP), Surin Forest Preservation Unit 4 (Royal Forest Department: RFD), Surin Animal Quarantine Center (Department of Livestock Development), Kap Choeng District Office (Surin Province), Surin Special Operation Task Force (Royal Thai Police), Surin Police Station (Surin Province), Suranaree K-9  (Royal Thai Army), totaling 8 units (32 officers), committed in a joint inspection of Chong Chom Market, a Thai-Cambodia Border Trade Market at Dan Sub-district, Kap Choeng District, Surin Province. 

The operation inspected 13 souvenir shops, 4 woodworks shops, and an unspecified number of stores selling standard wares. The operation was acted out in accordance with the DNP’s document (Number 0904.301/6861 dated April 5, 2016: Wildlife Crime Prevention and Enforcement) as well as other legislatures.
