Between January 22 – 24, 2017, Chong Chom Wildlife Checkpoint (Thai-Cambodia border) joined hands to work with Ivory Inspection Officers (Protected Area Administration Office 9, Ubon Ratchathani) in inspecting the activities of 20 ivory shops and dealers in the vicinity of Tha Tum District and Muang District, Surin Province for official ivory dealing licenses. The license holders were found to be operating legally under the government regulations, no suspicious activities were found.
