Elephant DNA collecting in southern Thailand.

On January 24, 2017, Sadao Wildlife Checkpoint collaborated with local authorities: Wildlife Conservation Division (Protected Areas Administration Office 6), Provincial Administration Office, and Livestock Development officials in collecting elephant blood samples for DNA inspections. The operation was done in accordance to Thailand’s National Council for Peace and Order’s (Number 60/2016 dated September 28, 2016). The collection was successfully done on 2 elephants in Khaopra Subdistrict, Rattaphum District, Songkla Province
